“If an opportunity isn’t aligned with what you want to achieve, it’s not an opportunity - it’s a distraction. Stay narrow and deep.” Heard on my favourite podcast @calfussman ‘s ‘Big Questions’ ✖️ We live in times in which there are plenty of opportunities. There is always a business you can be part of, an event you can go to, a new sport you can take on. Too much choice doesn’t necessarily make us happy. It overwhelms and distracts us ✖️ I always wanted to do everything. I’d say yes to every opportunity that came my way. But if you do everything, it’s hard to focus on what you really want to do. We have too much choice and it’s an art to be able to choose the things that we really want to focus on and figure out how to say no to people ✖️ Start with defining what you really want to achieve and what is the one thing that you really enjoy doing. Setting clear goals will pave a clearer path to achieve them, be it in training or in your professional life ✖️ I realise that this isn’t as easy as it sounds, but trying to bring some structure in is definitely a good start and will already be a huge step towards making things work for you rather than against you! ✖️ Let me know what you think ❗️ Captured by @clarebarkerwells 📷

Level UP ⬆️✖️ Spent the weekend learning @animalflowofficial from @rich_scrivener ✖️ This here might not look impressive, but trust me it’s a huge difference from what my first attempt looked like! ✖️ Even though I’m sore today in places I didn’t know I could get sore in (12h animal flow in 2 days ❗️💀) my body feels amazing ✖️ Animal flow is definitely something I’m adding to my own practice and programming for my clients ✖️ The human body is capable of doing so much and we use it in such a small percentage. It’s always humbling to experience how much there is to learn and how much more the machine we live inside of can actually do❗️ I’d definitely recommend taking part in one of @animalflowofficial workshops whether you’re a coach or someone passionate about movement, it will make you a better mover! ✖️ Thank you @rich_scrivener for the awesome coaching! #animaflow #movement #fitness #beastflow

Always do your best ✖️ It’s good to have a plan. It’s good to stick to it as often as you can. But what happens if on some days you simply don’t feel it❓ I used to be very stubborn with my training and always tried to push through even on days I wasn’t feeling it. That transferred onto other areas of my life and, as much as it often allowed me to get better at certain things, it also stopped me from progressing in other areas ✖️ Something I work on a lot is what can be called flexible mindset- I try to listen to myself more and make decisions based on what I feel is possible rather than what I had planned before ✖️ That being said I think one has to be careful as this can lead to becoming too comfortable. There is an expression in German: ‘der innere Schweinehund’ which, translated literally, means ‘the inner pig-dog’ (creatively so) meaning the lazy voice in your head which makes you do nothing when you’re not feeling it. Gotta love ze Germans for their amazing language! ✖️ I think the solution is to ALWAYS DO YOUR BEST. You’ll be often surprised how much you can actually do on the days you’re not feeling it❗️ Kick the 🐷 🐶 in its butt whenever you can and ALWAYS DO YOUR BEST❗️✖️ Captured by @clarebarkerwells 📷

“All ideas grow out of other ideas” 💡 - Anish Kapoor ✖️ Being open minded is one of the qualities I admire the most in others. It’s so valuable to be able to understand people and their ideas without any judgement. Whenever I don’t agree with someone, I try to put myself in their position and understand their point of view. It’s not always easy, but it’s certainly worth it. It also helps me not to get angry and deal with the emotions which might be connected with the disagreement we have. ✖️ Understanding other people’s perspective allows you to better understand their thinking and also often revise your own. ✖️ Understanding other people’s ideas and their way of thinking broadens your perspective and can help you to find solutions to problems. ✖️ #mondaymotivation

Due to lack of interest, Monday has been cancelled! ✖️ That’s what this week feels like. It’s the mondayest Tuesday that ever tuesdayed! ✖️ I like every start of the week. I get excited about the opportunities that might come my way, people I will get to talk to, generally exciting stuff that’s going to happen and the next steps I’m going to take towards my goals! ✖️ How do you feel about Mondays? (or Tuesdays in this case 😆) ✖️ Captured by @clarebarkerwells 📸

‘We need solitude, because when we're alone, we're free from obligations, we don't need to put on a show, and we can hear our own thoughts.’ ✖️ As much as I love spending time with people around me, I also enjoy being on my own. I ideally try and schedule some alone time everyday. ✖️ Knowing what’s going on in your head will allow you to be better in interaction with other people. ✖️ Being on your own allows you to listen to yourself, see where you’re at and then TALK to yourself to get you where you want to be. ✖️ I wish the alone time could always be spent on a beautiful beach in Indonesia 🏝🤩 ✖️ Do you like spending time on your own? #selftalk

Give me sun, fresh air, ocean, good food, amazing people and enough sleep. I’m not asking for too much, am I? That’s essentially a summary of my last trip to Indonesia and Singapore! ✖️ Ah and also make sure @clarebarkerwells is somewhere nearby to capture my happiness 😆 #smiles

I like this TRX push up to overhead press variation - apart from working your chest and shoulders, it also challenges your core. ✖️ In order for this exercise to work well, you have to make sure to do it on the beach 🏝😆✖️ @trx_uk @trxtraining #made2move

One of the things I appreciate about my job the most is that I get to spend time with some really amazing people. ✖️ This smiley guy here is my friend @paulfosterrr whom I met 10 years ago when I was on a modelling contract in Singapore ✖️ Paul and I kept in touch over the years and he came to support my first residency at @thesanchaya We had so much fun and so many ideas, we made another meeting happen - half a year later, back at The Sanchaya. New ideas were born and there is more to come! ✖️ I’m so proud to see my friends developing in their careers and being successful. You’re smashing it brother and I can’t wait to see what the future holds for you! ✖️ Here is to many more reunions and some exciting stuff to come! 💪🏻 Captured by @clarebarkerwells #thebluelist
