Woooowzzzer 🤤 This was SO tasty and as always super simple! 🍲 What I did- Wash and chop the veg, add to a hot wok with some rice bean oil or sesame oil - I like my veg pretty charred so I fry them for a couple of minutes first before adding the rest of the ingredients. It was my first time trying the @bluedragonuk chow mein sauce, I used half of the packet and as a perpetual tweaker - I added garlic, onion, tamari and turmeric (an excellent anti-inflammatory - but we’ll talk about that another time). I then popped in the unsalted cashews and sprinkled some sesame seeds on top. 🥜 There’s no cashew emoji so monkey nuts will have to do. Not only do cashews have a lower fat content than most other nuts, approximately 82% of their fat is unsaturated fatty acids, plus about 66% of this unsaturated fatty acid content are heart-healthy monounsaturated fats, similar to those found in olive oil. A 1-ounce serving of cashews is about 18 whole cashews. Cashews are high in monounsaturated and polyunsaturated fats and a good source of protein. The monounsaturated and polyunsaturated fatty acids found in cashews can help decrease LDL cholesterol and triglyceride levels. This reduces the risk of cardiovascular disease, stroke, and heart attack. 📊Studies of diabetic patients show that monounsaturated fat, when added to a low-fat diet, can help to reduce high triglyceride levels. Triglycerides are a form in which fats are carried in the blood, and high triglyceride levels are associated with an increased risk for heart disease, so ensuring you have some monounsaturated fats in your diet by enjoying cashews is a good idea, especially for persons with diabetes. I haven’t been good about saying this lately so I feel like today is a great day. I wanted to point out please hydrate yourself! Being hydrated has many benefits: . 1. It makes your skin look better. It makes it have better elasticity and helps fill in fine lines. This coupled with wearing moisturizer on your face every day-especially with SPF in it- (you too men!) will help your skin look better and better every day! . 2. If you’re hydrated you will have more focus, energy, and better athletic performance! . 3.It will help with your frequency of headaches. If you are caffeine drinker you were probably dehydrated and less you’re drinking 72 to 84 ounces a day. If you are finding that you’re getting lots of headaches you are probably severely do you hydrated even if you’re not a caffeine drinker! . 4.Being hydrated helps you from eating when you were bored instead of hungry. . These are just a few of the many benefits I could go on all day. How much water should he be drinking? At least 70 to 84 ounces a day. Do you research would be best for you I tried to drink around 82 ounces today because that is the exact size of my water bottles. This week I had a moment that brought me to an unexpected halt. I had been working myself hard to achieve some of my goals, and I felt some pressure with some deadlines to maintain a high level of productivity. ⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ Inside of me, I felt strong feelings to push through my own resistance to keep up with these things that were expected of me, and I felt incredibly frustrated, unclear, and drained. I got caught up in a belief that I must always be going, doing, being, and creating, and that I must always be on my A-game.⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ As you might be able to guess, living at that high level of productivity isn’t quite sustainable and so, mentally, physically, and emotionally I was completely tapped. I was feeling out of my creative flow, mentally, blocked, and exhausted. ⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ Upon recognizing that I had 𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐝 𝐦𝐲 𝐥𝐢𝐦𝐢𝐭𝐬, I came back home to myself and immediately became aware that I needed a break. My brain was begging for a pause. My body. My soul too. I needed time to just breathe and take some healthy, conscious space.⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ Have you noticed that It can feel really uncomfortable for us to take breaks?⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ What will happen in that space of nothingness?⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ Will I let people down?⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ Will I fall behind? Will someone else surpass me? ⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ Will I be forgotten?⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ Will I lose my creative flow? ⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ Will I not start back up again?⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ Taking breaks doesn’t always come easy to us, so I want to gently and confidently remind you that it’s okay. 👌🏻 It’s that time of year again when all the things fresh produce are coming back in season! I like to shop as locally and seasonally as possible this time of year since there is abundance all around me at farmer’s markets and roadside stands. This produce tastes better since it can be picked at peak ripeness (as it doesn’t have to travel as far!) and it is always a good experience to shake the hand of the farmer who grew your food.

Been working in the fitness industry now for almost 4 years, and training for the last 10 - anyone who knows me/has worked along side me will know how much a staple this meal is for me lmao. This year I vow to home in on my diet and add variety - I’ve already restructured my penultimate training goal, it’s time to restore the diet to go hand in hand. As stated, I’ve been training (leisurely) for nearly 10 years now, and there’s been no significant changes as such, only improvements. Healthy banana FLOURLESS pancakes and green juice I made myself as a late breakfast post workout 😍 I love when I have time to put more effort into a nice breakfast and this is exactly what I needed after a long week. 🔸banana pancakes- mashed banana, egg, 1/4 cup oats, crushed dark chocolate, pinch of baking powder, vanilla and cinnamon. 🔸super easy and delicious pancakes that I love😍 🔸topped with banana, blackberries and @traderjoes peanut butter 🔸green juice: Granny Smith Apple blended with baby kale, juice of lemon, water and ice 🔸super refreshing😍 🔸this breakfast was SUPER filling😃 Hope everyone has a great weekend!
